Writing texts and working with texts is an integral part of Danielle Ezzo‘s artistic practice. In this two-day workshop with the NewYork-based artist, the nine participants learned how to use texts as a tool for creativity and for developing their projects. In a playful way, different approaches were tried out and reflected on in the group. On the second day, the participants presented a current project. In a feedback session, they discussed how this could be developed further and to what extent the exercises tested on the previous day could help. The result was an intensive and intimate exchange in which the participants, who had travelled from as far as Cologne, met on an equal level.
«The range of possibilities of dealing with text and image and the inspiring examples of different artists inside and outside the group.» Clara Neugebauer
«It gave me a new perspective to look at my work and get creative.» Sandra Stein
«The workshop came at the right moment: With my personal work I’m at a point where I need to leave usual paths. With this workshop I’ve got a list of tools on how I can get to new points and to combine things I would normally not have considered.» Jonathan Liechti
